Banned Together is an award-winning documentary about fighting book bans and academic censorship in the United States. It won three Best Documentary Feature awards and was nominated for a fourth in film festivals around the country.

Banned Together follows three students as they fight to reinstate 97 books suddenly pulled from their school libraries. As they evolve from local to national activists, the film reveals the sinister forces behind the accelerating wave of book bans in the United States and the ongoing harassment of educators and librarians.

Thanks to support from the National Education Association, Banned Together was screened in a dozen cities as part of the 2025 Teach Truth Day of Action. One of the sites, pictured below, was Lynx Books in Gainesville, Florida.
