It was at the 2019 NCSS conference in Austin, Texas, where Adam Sanchez introduced the Zinn Education Program to me. I attended a workshop about his lesson and immediately understood the immense work that had gone into creating these fun, collaborative lessons! The “Abolitionist Mixer” was the most engaging and they’re all a great way to get students interested in history.
