I have been using Howard Zinn publications and Zinn Education Project materials for the last 11 years.  I use excerpts from A People’s History often, and I’ve used lesson plans from the Project website.  I’d so most used over the years are the Rethinking Schools publications, specifically Rethinking Columbus.

I love using Columbus’ journal entry from that book to teach analysis of primary sources and to have students compare Columbus’ point of view with that of Priest de Las Casas.  I’m also used materials from Rethinking Our Classrooms Volume 2 and The Line Between Us by Bill Bigelow.  Zinn materials are embedded into most of my U.S. history units and those resources have informed my pedagogy as an educator over the last decade.  Thank you!
