I’m part of a group of volunteers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, that is working to create a high school curriculum that localizes The Color of Law. In the process, we are test-driving lessons with adults from the community.

One of our first test drives was with How Red Lines Built White Wealth, the housing segregation lesson designed by Ursula Wolfe-Rocca. Participants were highly engaged in the lesson and learned much about the history of deliberate segregation.

We are extraordinarily grateful for this resource, but even more so for the time, expertise, care, and resources Ms. Wolfe-Rocca provided to our project team. We feel so well-supported in the work and have benefited from her perspective and experience in taking on hard history.
