June 12 Day of Action: West Virginia Educators Pledge to Teach the Truth

West Virginia Educators Pledge to Teach the Truth

RSVP for #MapTheTruthWV Virtual Event

Lawmakers in at least 15 states, including West Virginia, are attempting to pass legislation that would require teachers to lie to students about the role of racism, sexism, heterosexism, and oppression throughout U.S. history.

Help amplify teachers’ voices against these bills. As a West Virginia educator, you are invited to participate in the #MapTheTruthWV virtual event.

Check out the resource website #WVTeachTruth for local information about the Day of Action and the virtual event that will be held at 2:00 pm ET on Saturday, June 12. Teachers are invited to add historic sites to the map and join the virtual event.
